In 1989 Craig and Lezli got married, quit their jobs, sold everything, and became missionaries to China. They lived without the Internet, email, phones, hot water, and, at times, electricity. Later, when Communism fell in Europe, the two moved to Czechoslovakia and lived in a converted public bus with the newest member of the Walker family, their three-month-old son.
After returning to America, Craig and Lezli founded an international student ministry, “Friends of Internationals”. Currently, Craig is the lead pastor of Upward Church, a multi-state multi-campus online church with physical locations. The mosaic of the Walker’s lives has brought them to this monumental moment.
